Fairer moderation

It should be easy to report content that you suspect is illegal on online platforms.

Making such a report should be accessible, user-friendly and by electronic means. Once you have made a report, you have the right to receive an acknowledgement of receipt and information about the online platform's decision based on the report.

When online platforms impose restrictions on you or your content, the platform should always justify it and indicate what you can do if you disagree with the platform's decision.

When online platforms restrict you or your content, they must always justify it. So when content is removed, blocked or ranked lower, it should be explained. Just like when you (temporarily) cannot earn payments from content, when you are (partially) suspended from a platform or when your account is suspended or terminated. That motivation should include: what the platform's decision is, in which countries the restriction applies, the duration of the restriction, what facts and circumstances were considered, whether automated means were used and what law or general condition the content violates. It should also state what you can do if you disagree with a platform's decision.
